Hi, I’m Raven, a licensed mental health therapist who has been working in the mental health field for over 8 years. I specialize in helping women and children overcome anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and life’s uncertainties. My approach is supportive and strength-based, focusing on building confidence, improving communication, and developing practical coping skills. Through virtual therapy, I provide a safe space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create positive change and move forward with clarity and confidence.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After the Biopsychosocial assessment. The first session, we’ll start with a check-in to see how you’re feeling and what’s on your mind. From there, we’ll focus on getting to know each other in a comfortable, judgment-free space. I’ll ask about your concerns, goals, and what brought you to therapy, while also giving you the chance to share at your own pace. We’ll explore your strengths, challenges, and any past experiences that may shape your current struggles. This session is about building trust, setting expectations, and creating a plan tailored to your needs, so you leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

What makes me unique is my ability to create a warm, supportive space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I take a strengths-based approach, helping clients recognize their resilience and capabilities rather than just focusing on struggles. As a parent, I understand the challenges of balancing responsibilities while managing emotions, which deepens my ability to support both women and children. My experience allows me to blend practical tools with genuine compassion, empowering clients to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work best with women and children who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or uncertainty about the future. My ideal clients may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, but they are open to growth and willing to explore new ways to navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re a woman juggling responsibilities and self-doubt or a child needing support to build confidence and emotional resilience, I provide a compassionate, strengths-based approach to help you feel understood, empowered, and in control of your journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use a person-centered approach that combines cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques. My experience with CBT has been transformative in helping clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. I integrate mindfulness practices to help clients stay grounded in the present moment, reduce stress, and build emotional resilience. In my practice, I apply these techniques to address both the mental and emotional aspects of my clients’ struggles. For example, with clients dealing with anxiety, we work together to reframe unhelpful thoughts while practicing mindfulness to create a sense of calm. This dual approach allows my clients to not only understand their thought patterns but also develop practical tools for managing their emotions and enhancing their well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I specialize in integrating mindfulness-based therapy into my work with clients. Mindfulness has been incredibly effective in helping individuals manage stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation. Through mindfulness, clients learn to observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment, which empowers them to break free from negative thought patterns and emotional reactivity. In my practice, I use mindfulness-based techniques, such as guided breathing exercises, body scans, and mindfulness meditation, to help clients stay present and grounded. For example, with clients struggling with anxiety, we practice mindfulness to manage overwhelming emotions and develop a greater sense of control. This approach not only promotes relaxation but also teaches long-term skills for coping with life’s challenges in a calm and balanced way.

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build on their unique abilities. Instead of focusing solely on challenges, we identify personal strengths—like resilience, creativity, or problem-solving—and explore how to use them for growth. This approach shifts the focus from ‘What’s wrong?’ to ‘What strengths can help me move forward?’ By empowering clients to see their own capabilities, we build confidence, self-awareness, and lasting change.

Supportive

I take a supportive approach, creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. I meet clients where they are, providing encouragement and guidance as they navigate challenges. Through compassionate listening and tailored strategies, I help clients build confidence, resilience, and the skills needed to create meaningful change in their lives.
