I am an LGBT identifying therapist. I have been working in the mental health field for over two years in residential and community mental health settings. Which has provided me with the experience of working with a wide variety of clients. I work with individuals who are struggling with gender identity, sexual orientation, and open relationships. I assist clients in navigating the life transitions that come up while addressing these concerns. I am kink aware and currently working on sex therapy certification.
In the first session we will review intake documents, discuss what I expect from my clients and what my clients can expect from me as a therapist. Then we will set the specific goals that you as client want to set for yourself to feel better in your daily life and to achieve the goals you have for your life.
I work well with young adults and couples who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and LGBTQ related concerns. My strengths are helping these clients feel empowered, find practical solutions to the difficulties they are currently facing and help them come to terms with identities and trauma.
I enjoy working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ and Kink communities struggling with relationship difficulties, navigating their identities, dealing with sexual dysfunction and general mental health.
I believe clients have the best outcomes if we build on current strengths that they possess to navigate life struggles.
I utilize CBT skills in therapy to assist clients to navigate anxiety, depression and self image concerns.
As a therapist I will pull from multiple theories to best assist my clients in navigating current concerns.
