I have been working in the social services field for almost a decade, after leaving a corporate administrator position of 11 years. I have spent seasons in Case Management, Family Based Counseling, Multi-systemic Therapy, Substance Use Disorder treatment, a school-based supervisor and therapist in the Reading School District and a counselor in alternative education for disruptive youth. I am also a Master's clinical mental health instructor at Immaculata University.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will include an intake assessment and getting to know your goals. I want you to feel comfortable with treatment and with me. Part of this process is me asking questions and learning about you. Of course, I welcome questions from you too!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

The most common feedback I get from clients and supervisees is that I am relatable and down-to-earth. I pride myself on normalizing being human. Life happens and sometimes it is messy and complicated. Hopefully, when we meet, it is an hour of your life that is less stressful and without complication!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My specialties include adolescents, emerging adults, family conflict, anxiety and mood issues. I have worked with diagnoses such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, ADHD, ODD, conduct disorder, and others.

Narrative

I have helped clients to clearly identify and understand the problems they are having and to create a life that they desire. Often I meet clients who misunderstand the problems in their life and this misunderstanding is what halts recovery and wellness. I do not tell my clients what to do, as they are the experts on their lives. I listen, reflect and challenge words, thoughts, behaviors that contradict clients' stated goals.
