Hi! My name is Acelli. I am a therapist in Cedar Park who helps people with anxiety, toxic relationships, generational trauma or life transitions. I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all method of therapy, so we'll work together to meet your needs. Therapy starts inward, with self-acceptance and grace, allowing you to make space for positive connections with self and others. Reach out today!
Our first few sessions usually involve relationship building. There's time for both of us to ask questions as well as for me to learn a little about what your therapy needs and goals are. As a therapist, my work begins inward through self-acceptance, identifying ineffective behaviors, and embracing positive connections with self and others. Working through anxiety, life transitions, and life trauma is and looks different for each of us. My role is a supportive one as you grow and reach your goals.
Like everyone else, I’m human and no different from the clients I see. I’ve been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help. People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can be fully present for people’s stories, even if they are difficult stories. If you open up to me, I will not think anything is wrong with you, I will think you are unique and human. Many of my clients have had the same fear (that people would think they are crazy). You have nothing to be ashamed about. Nothing you can say will cause me to judge you. I know we all have our strengths and weaknesses; we might be emotionally drained from the ups and downs, we are humans trying to human. Whatever it is you’re going through, I will do my best to provide a safe space where you can feel heard and supported without judgement.
I am passionate about working with women and minorities who have experienced tough stuff in life or might be looking to find their own voice. There are so many variables that contribute who we are in this exact moment. I'm not here to change any of that; but to support you while you grow and embrace who you truly are. Reach out today!
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can be helpful in identifying skills or learned behavior that are affected by thoughts or feelings in effort to affect behavioral change and outcomes. CBT has been helpful in working through anxiety, depression, boundary setting, adjustment to life transitions and more.
I am trained in DBT skills and incorporate them into sessions regularly. Typically, I use this when clients are feeling dysregulated or experiencing emotional distress to work with and expand window of tolerance.
I utilize SFBT when working with clients who are experiencing a specific short term focused issue. This method can be helpful to correcting patterns of behavior that are no longer functioning for a client.
