I'm a British therapist, licensed in California. I graduated from Touro University in 2020 as a marital and family therapist. I have a background in addiction treatment, and also have particular experience with self-esteem, LGBTQ+ issues, anxiety and depression. I work with individuals and families. My aim is always to help my clients gain greater understanding of themselves and their relationships, in order to lead a happier, more fulfilling life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is designed to be relaxed and easy. I want to get to know you a little better, and for you to get to know me a little better. We'll start to figure out what your priorities are in therapy and the best way to start tackling them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Calmness. Acceptance. Celebration of diversity and uniqueness. Curiosity. Asking the right questions at the right time.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My dream client is someone willing to work on their emotional and mental health, and be open to new ways of thinking.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This therapy has a cognitive component and a behavioral component. The cognitive component aims to help you recognize patterns in your thinking that are unhelpful, or produce a lot of unpleasant emotions - and create alternative ways of thinking that are more helpful. The behavioral component helps you to plan and execute strategies for dealing with difficult situations on your life, such as those that produce a lot of fear or dread.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This is a form of radical positive thinking. Instead of looking directly at the problems in your life, It is a way of discovering what is already working, and seeking exceptions to problems in order to identify strategies for happier living by doing more of what works. I incorporate this technique to help clients see that there are always some glimmers of hope that can be built upon.
