Hello, I am Viktoria. Life doesn't always go as planned, and transitions, illness, and trauma are rarely anticipated. Are you struggling with self-defeating patterns that are causing depression, anxiety, and /or a feeling of being stuck? Do you want to make changes in your personal and professional life? Do you have challenges in your relationship? Individuals have unique and individual needs, which should be recognized. Most of the time, you will be able to handle the situation with the help of your friends and family or on your own. There are times when you might need professional guidance and support to learn specific techniques to help you manage your thoughts and feelings. An important aspect of therapy is the opportunity to explore feelings of loneliness, anxiety, depression, grief, and shame, and to begin the process of creating positive and lasting changes. This takes place in a non-judgmental, therapeutic relationship based on empathy, trust, safety, and compassion. My style is calm, warm, and relaxed, and I believe in creating a safe environment for you in which compassion, support, and humor can flourish. Together, we can gain insight and understanding of the relationships between emotions, core beliefs and behaviors in order to find solutions to the problems you are facing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in a follow-up sessions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can be incredibly effective for clients dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, and many other mental health issues. The collaborating nature of CBT is a powerful tool allowing clients to engage actively in their treatment and make meaningful changes in their thought patterns and behaviors.

Grief Therapy

I have been specializing grief therapy which is an important approach for helping individuals process loss, whether it's the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or any significant life change. It offers a structured way to support people through the complex emotions of grief and helps them eventually find ways to heal and move forward. When integrating grief therapy I create a nonjudgmental space where my clients can feel safe to express their emotions.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have been utilizing DBT tools including mindfulness, distress tolerance and emotion regulation. DBT has been found effective in treating a range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, addiction, and PTSD.
