About me

Hello! My name is Sharon Spencer Rose. I have over 15 years of counseling. I earned a Divinity degree and a master's degree in Christian counseling from The Oral Roberts University in 2002 and 2003. I am a licensed professional counselor and licensed addiction counselor. I believe in providing compassionate care. I believe that everyone has the answer within they may just need guidance in knowing how to overcome certain traumas and/or barriers, develop coping skills, see that answer, and realize that transformation can take place allowing them to achieve their goals and eventually their higher purpose.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I make it a point to listen to all your concerns and the goals you the client would like to work on. Together we will explore ways towards progressing towards a favorable outcome.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I work towards creating an environment that is warm, compassionate, and gentle and an outcome that hopefully will bring understanding, peace and a new life of hope and purpose.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I see counseling as a process in which we work as a team to explore and define present problem situations, develop future goals for an improved life and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing those goals. I work with clients in a variety of formats, including individually, as couples and as families. I also conduct group therapy as needed.

Integrative

I see counseling as a process in which I work as a team with my client. Each individual is unique and may require other approaches to finding a resolution, for this reason an integrative approach that of emerging various approaches may be deemed necessary in order to produce an effective result.

Christian Counseling

Many of my clients have been religious in nature. I have worked as a Chaplain and presently do and have over 15 years exploring with clients how their faith can offer hope in times of crisis but can also be a daily prescription that can bring about healing in all dimensions of their lives and better equip them for life challenges.
