I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor based in Florida with a Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University. With over 5 years of experience, I work with clients ranging from 7 to 99 years old, addressing a variety of concerns including severe mental illness, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, addiction, and everyday challenges such as work, family, and relationship stress. My approach is compassionate and tailored to support you through life’s difficulties in a safe and supportive environment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll begin with brief introductions to get to know each other, followed by a discussion of the specific challenges you’re currently facing. This will help me understand your unique situation and create a personalized plan that we can work through in future sessions. Our goal will be to establish a foundation of trust and clarity, so you feel supported as we begin the journey toward positive change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to work effectively with young to middle-aged adults facing mental health challenges and relationship issues . Over the years, I’ve developed a tried-and-true approach that helps clients (a) identify the root causes of their struggles and (b) create a personalized plan that leads to measurable progress. I’m committed to working collaboratively with each client, using evidence-based strategies to ensure that they feel empowered and supported as they move toward lasting change.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I’m best positioned to serve individuals who are motivated to improve but may not yet have the tools or strategies to make meaningful change. My clients often feel stuck, overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious about the direction of their lives. They come from all walks of life and are ready to explore new perspectives and develop skills to overcome obstacles, find balance, and move forward with confidence. I’m here to guide them in building resilience and achieving their goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Overall, my experience with CBT has allowed me to provide a diverse range of clients with the tools they need to understand and manage their mental health. I am committed to offering a compassionate, individualized approach that supports each person in creating meaningful change in their lives, no matter their age or background.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have integrated Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my practice, particularly when working with individuals who struggle with emotional regulation, self-harm, or suicidal ideation. DBT's focus on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness has proven to be a powerful tool for clients who face intense emotional reactions or have difficulty managing relationships. I have used DBT skills training both individually and in group settings to help clients develop healthier coping strategies, build emotional resilience, and improve their interpersonal effectiveness. With clients who have persistent mental health issues, I have honed my skills in creating a safe and structured environment where they can begin to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.

Narrative

I integrate Narrative Therapy into my practice, particularly when working with clients who are dealing with issues of identity, trauma, and life transitions. Narrative Therapy emphasizes the importance of the stories we tell about ourselves and how those stories shape our experiences. By helping clients explore and reframe their personal narratives, I assist them in recognizing the ways they may have internalized negative beliefs or been defined by their challenges. This therapeutic approach empowers clients to see themselves as the authors of their own stories, which can help them rewrite limiting narratives and foster a greater sense of agency and possibility. With clients who have persistent mental health issues and mood disorders, I have honed my skills in creating a safe and structured environment where they can begin to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), particularly for clients who are looking for practical, short-term solutions to their challenges. SFBT focuses on identifying and amplifying a client’s strengths, resources, and past successes. It is especially effective when clients are dealing with specific, immediate concerns or when they are looking for strategies to make quick, positive changes. By focusing on solutions rather than problems, clients are able to gain a sense of empowerment and hope, making it an ideal approach for those who may feel overwhelmed by the long-term nature of therapy or who need to build momentum in their progress. With clients who have persistent mental health issues and mood disorders, I have honed my skills in creating a safe and structured environment where they can begin to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.

Positive Psychology

I utilize and integrate Positive Psychology into my practice to focus on clients’ strengths, well-being, and personal growth. Positive Psychology is grounded in the idea that, in addition to addressing problems and challenges, therapy should also actively nurture positive emotions, strengths, and life satisfaction. By helping clients identify and build on their strengths, cultivate gratitude, and foster a sense of purpose and meaning, Positive Psychology allows clients to not only cope with difficulties but also to thrive and experience greater joy, fulfillment, and resilience in their lives. With clients who have persistent mental health issues and mood disorders, I have honed my skills in creating a safe and structured environment where they can begin to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.
