Hello, I am so happy you are here! My name is Erica and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my masters degree in Social Work from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and have been practicing since 2020. I assist children, adolescents, and young adults navigate the daily life struggles of mental health barriers and assist them in becoming the best version of themself.
In our first session together, brief introductions and start to develop some rapport. we will focus on what brought you to therapy, the barriers you are facing, and your ideal goals you would like to have for yourself. This will assist me in creating a customized treatment plan for us to work through together on your followed up appointments.
Having worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and families for the past 5 years, I have developed strengths-based perspective focusing on your resiliency and utilizing it for your overall growth. I utilize my listening skills for you to be heard and valued as a person and beyond your struggles.
I enjoy working with children, adolescence, and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, school barriers, and everyday struggles. My clients are anxious and hesitant to make improvements to their daily life, however do not have the correct tools to utilize to assist them.
I have used CBT approach with majority of my clients and it has assisted them in learning how to challenge their ongoing negative thoughts and learning how to manage their anxiety and depression symptoms. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. This will assist in living a less anxious life.
I have used DBT approach with all of my clients as it assist in learning mindfulness and how to be aware and focused in the present moment. Learning DBT techniques will assist you in learning how to regulate your emotions, improve interpersonal relationship skills, and learning how to manage distress in daily life.
I have used Solution Focused Brief therapy with some clients focusing on your strengths and resilience to achieve positive change within your daily functioning. Solution Focused Brief therapy allows you to set upcoming target goals or near-term goals. This treatment method also allows us to work on strengthening goals that you have already achieved and have navigated from.
