I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 20 years of experience in the mental health field. Currently serving as the Executive Clinical Director at Effective School Solutions, I specialize in trauma focused-CBT, school-based mental health programming, crisis management, anxiety, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals aged 8 to 60, navigating a wide range of challenges including trauma, emotional and behavioral disorders, and learning difficulties. My work has spanned diverse settings, including therapeutic residential treatment programs, schools, group homes, outpatient clinics, and higher education disability services. I am passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where my clients feel supported as they work toward personal growth and healing. Using evidence-based approaches, I aim to empower individuals to build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and achieve their goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive space to share their story at their own pace. We’ll discuss what brought them to therapy, current stressors, and any past experiences with therapy. Together, we’ll identify their goals, explore strengths, and outline a plan tailored to their needs. I’ll introduce my collaborative, skill-based approach and provide a small, practical strategy they can start using right away. Most importantly, the first session is about building trust and creating a foundation for meaningful progress.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are creating a safe, validating space while equipping clients with practical, evidence-based tools to manage anxiety, emotions, and life’s challenges. With a trauma-informed and skill-based approach, I help clients understand their patterns, build resilience, and make meaningful changes. I am authentic, collaborative, and adaptable, ensuring each client feels supported while also being empowered to grow.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am best positioned to serve high-functioning young adults and moms who are struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation, and the pressures of daily life while trying to maintain a sense of balance and fulfillment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies. I guide clients in recognizing how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected. Through practical exercises, homework assignments, and skill-building, clients learn to reframe unhelpful thinking, regulate emotions, and modify behaviors to improve overall well-being.
