I believe that counseling is most effective when it is designed by the participant and fits their individual or family needs. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and holds certifications in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma Treatment. I have experience working with children and their families to strengthen attachment, manage complex traumatic experiences, and overcome anxiety, depression, suicidality, isolation, and negative patterns of behavior.
During the first session, I will first and foremost answer any questions you may have about therapy and the therapeutic process and then get an idea of your goals and needs for therapy. We will talk about a plan for sessions and schedule as many or as few future sessions as you are interested in. I believe in being flexible and helping clients work through anything they are struggling with.
Over the past 8 years, I have worked with many populations with a variety of concerns that have brought them to therapy. I have worked with all age groups, individuals, families, and couples. I believe in flexibility and being creative in therapy to work through problems!
