I take a compassionate, laid back, and interactive approach to therapy, aiming to empower you to reclaim your life and move toward greater fulfillment. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a background in Psychology and Sociology, I bring a wealth of expertise to our work together. I’m also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), a Certified Mental Health & Nutrition Clinical Specialist (CMNCS), and a certified life coach.
Our first session is entirely client-led and focused on you and your healing journey. I’ll invite you to share whatever feels most important to help me understand who you are, what brought you here, and what you’d like to work on. Many clients also choose to share past experiences with counseling or other ways they’ve sought support. Feel free to be as open as you’re comfortable—I’m here to listen and get to know you better. I’ll also share a bit about myself and what makes my approach unique. By the end of our first session, my goal is for us to feel comfortable with one another and confident that we’re a great fit to work together.
In a world where it often seems like everyone else has it all figured out—that they’ve cracked the code to life and are truly living their best lives—it’s easy to feel like we’re falling short. But in reality, much of what we see is a highlight reel. Many people are just getting by day to day, searching for “more,” and the constant comparison can leave us feeling stuck and overwhelmed. My greatest strength as a provider is helping clients uncover the insecurities, self-doubts, and stories we tell ourselves that keep us from moving forward. Together, we work to find your truth, creating a foundation of self-compassion and clarity. I connect deeply with clients who are searching for belonging and relief from the emotional baggage they carry. My goal is to help you rediscover the life you’ve been longing for and learn to love yourself and the life you live.
I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, substance use, self-esteem challenges, social and relationship difficulties, life transitions, and more. I have a passion for working with those in recovery and am well-versed in addiction, cross-addictions, the impact of addiction on families, and the recovery process, including extensive knowledge of the 12-step approach. My clients are ready to let go of the past and step into their full potential, shedding the burdens that hold them back from their best selves. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are motivated to make meaningful changes and address the root causes of their struggles. Whether you’re facing life’s transitions or seeking personal growth, I welcome clients of all ages and genders who are ready to embrace healing and transformation.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns that influence emotions and behaviors. By working together to uncover the connections between thoughts, feelings, and actions, clients gain tools to challenge negativity, develop healthier perspectives, and create meaningful change. This approach complements my holistic philosophy, empowering clients to address not only their mental health but also their overall well-being, fostering clarity, resilience, and balance in their lives.
In sessions, I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop practical skills for navigating emotional challenges. Together, we work on enhancing mindfulness, managing distress, and fostering emotional regulation. Through a compassionate and structured approach, I guide clients in building healthier relationships, improving coping mechanisms, and finding balance in the complexities of life. DBT provides a supportive framework that aligns with my holistic philosophy, addressing the mind, body, and soul in the healing process.
