My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT has been a treatment method I have used for years to work on the identification of negative thoughts and beliefs that lead to depression and anxiety. In session, the focus is to reframe thoughts to improve symptoms. I also work with clients on assertive communication and boundary setting that is also essential in improving symptoms.

Couples Counseling

As an LCSW, I have provided couples counseling for many years. Depending on the concerns in the marriage many topics can be processed and worked though. For example, communication concerns, boundary setting in couples, intimacy concerns, and any other issue that may arise. The focus on the sessions is to identify concerns in the marriage and work together to set goals and homework for the couple to work on outside of session to improve the relationship.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is a 12 session trauma focused treatment to work on concerns with PTSD. This treatment is homework based.

Strength-Based

As an LCSW, I believe in working with others in identifying their strengths to improve symptoms and behaviors.

Supportive

As an LCSW, I also provide supportive therapy to work on reflection of feelings, validation, and active listening to assist clients in feeling heard.
