About me

Are you feeling depressed and anxious? Are you finding your life is in turmoil because you have to make a change? Maybe you are changing careers or jobs, you’re recently divorced, your home is now an empty nest, or you are retiring. These are only a few of life’s transitions that can bring on depression and anxiety. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the therapy I use most often, states that A (Antecedent action or event) + B (our belief about that antecedent action or event) = Consequences, (depression or happiness). If you think of a transition or event (A) as a negative experience (B), you will experience the consequences of your belief, as depression and anxiety (C-negative) or as happiness and excitement (C-positive). Unfortunately, many of us view a transition or change as a bad thing, a time when we are facing the unknown without a map. I would like to help you see change as an opportunity, a time for growth and exploration. Come with me. Together we can make change a positive force for a bright future. please schedule appoints only on the hour.😀

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Easy conversation about who they are and why they came to therapy and what they would like to accomplish in therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am very optimistic. I connect well with clients and I am completely absorbed in the conversation when we are meeting in a session. I help them generate ideas and praise them for the effort they are making to change their lives. I make them aware that I know how difficult it is to change ideas that one has had perhaps all their life. I convince them that I am their partner in a great adventure. I love change and I encourage my clients to embrace change as an opportunity rather than a negative experience.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

18 and over who want to make changes or are making a transition and are afraid of change.
