I am an LCSW and certified addiction counselor with over 25 years of providing behavioral health and addiction services. I began my career in behavioral health while serving in the United States Air Force. There I provided counseling and support to my fellow Airmen. I believe that everyone deserves to live their best life. This led me to further my education. I went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Oglethorpe University. Then later obtained a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia. When I am not scrapbooking, sewing or creating in my craft room, you can find me volunteering in the community, spending time with friends or traveling.
In our first session together, I will complete an assessment to gather information to obtain a complete picture of your needs. This will also be a good time to ask questions you may have about me and my practice.
I work with adults, children, adolescents, and families providing individual and family sessions. I have become proficient in working with ADHD, depression, anxiety, mood, sleep, and childhood disorders. I am developed experience with CBT, DBT, trauma-informed, anger management, mindfulness, and strength-based techniques.
