I specialize in supporting individuals navigating gender, sexuality, polyamory, and life transitions, offering a safe, non-judgmental space to explore and embrace your authentic self. My approach blends empathy, cultural humility, and intersectional feminist therapy, with techniques like ACT and CBT. I also integrate expressive arts and play therapy for LGBTQ+ children and teens, helping them communicate and connect with others. As a transmasc, queer, and polyamorous person, I bring personal experience and over 8 years of community volunteer work to my practice.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My sessions are laid back and not as structured as most people think traditional therapy is. In your first few sessions, I'm mostly gathering information and background on you so that I can understand you, your past and your present, and we'll establish what you want to work on in therapy. What are your goals?

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I bring myself authentically to sessions, including my experience as a queer and trans person. I connect well with other people in the community because I have similar experiences.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My practice specializes in working with clients on issues related to gender, sexuality, polyamory, and general life transitions, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore, understand, and embrace your authentic self. I work collaboratively with clients to address challenges, manage emotional well-being, and build healthier connections.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to focus on specific issues that the client would like to address in their life. It can be used to help people understand their current thoughts, feelings, etc to help them establish connections and cope.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I primarily use ACT to help clients stop avoiding, denying, and minimizing their inner emotions and, instead, accept that these deeper feelings are appropriate responses to certain situations that should not prevent them from moving forward in their lives

Gender-affirming therapy

I validate and support people's gender identity and their transitions. I also believe that people can choose what kind of transition (if any) works for them.
