In the first session, I always complete an in-depth generalized assessment to best understand the client and their needs. This usually takes about an hour.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my assessment skills, my ability to empathize with my clients, no matter who they are, or where they're from, the tools, I bring to the table and my ability to analyze and help clients think outside of the box with regards to solutions.
If you are seeking to improve and want to make a change, I am happy to help!
As a TBRI Practitioner, I recognize the importance of how attachment affects our relationships and how we manage various situations and conflicts.
Given my own experience and training, it helps me to understand when clients are struggling with spiritual matters and integrate Christian principles and values with psychological techniques. I focus on helping individuals address emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges within the framework of their Christian beliefs. The goal is to provide guidance and support while incorporating biblical teachings to promote healing and personal growth.
I have been trained and have used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a therapeutic approach to helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. Using CBT I aim to address current problems by examining how thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected. Through collaboration with the client I help them to learn to challenge and reframe distorted thinking, develop healthier coping strategies, and ultimately improve their emotional well-being.
I have worked with couples to help them navigate and improve their relationship by facilitating open communication, explore patterns of interaction, and assist in resolving conflicts. I work to help couples enhance their understanding of each other, strengthen their emotional bond, and provide tools for healthier relationship dynamics. I have experience with addressing various issues, such as communication difficulties, trust issues, intimacy concerns, and other challenges affecting relationships.
I have used Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a psychotherapy approach to alleviate distress associated with traumatic memories. It involves a structured eight-phase process where I help individuals process distressing memories by using bilateral stimulation. The goal is to help the person reprocess traumatic experiences, reducing their emotional impact and promoting adaptive coping mechanisms. EMDR is recognized for its effectiveness in treating conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related issues.
