Do you want to heal your relationship with yourself, body, sensuality, or food? Are you afraid to embrace your authentic self, but know that the way that you have been living hasn’t been working for you? You might be struggling with self-judgment or with sexual concerns. You may have experienced trauma and feel like you have lost connection with yourself, your body, and your sense of trust and safety. I can support you on your healing path to find more effective ways to cope with painful emotions, reclaim pleasure and safety after trauma, and find your voice and embrace your true self. I have extensive experience working with sexual concerns, sexual trauma, eating disorders, and body image. I am an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, meaning that I have specialized training and education in addressing diverse sexual issues. I have a warm, collaborative, and interactive approach to therapy that is gender and LGBTQ+ affirming and body and sex-positive. My couples therapy openings are full at the moment and I am currently only seeing individual clients through Grow Therapy.
In our first session together, we will go over your concerns, history, strengths, and your hopes and goals for therapy. Throughout the first session, I will ask questions so that I can better understand your experience, but the session will be more of a conversation versus reviewing a structured questionnaire. In our follow up sessions, I will check in with you to make sure that you are feeling comfortable and that your needs and hopes for therapy are being met. We may use mindfulness, somatic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches in our sessions.
I create a collaborative, safe, supportive environment where you are truly welcomed and accepted. I bring authenticity, gentle humor, concrete skills, and an affirming approach to our work together.
Clients that I work with often identify with being sensitive, compassionate, and interested in personal growth and healing. We may be a good fit for working together if you feel that you have struggled with being labeled as "too sensitive" or have experienced shame and fear around being your authentic self. You may want to more deeply explore your relationship with your sexuality, sensuality, or body. Perhaps you want to find more meaning in your life and connect with yourself and others in new ways.
