Do you feel stuck constantly overthinking and worrying? Do you feel down and depressed and you don't know where to start? If these statements resonate with you and you want to stop the cycle of worry, irritability and sadness then you are in the right place. I know it's a struggle to even reach out and admit you need help. You can feel proud that here you are already taking steps to get out of a dark place. If you meet with me, I will provide a comfortable and non-judgmental place where you can explore your feelings, identify problems, and learn new ways to cope with difficult emotions getting you back to enjoy the life you deserve. I have been working in the mental health field for over 15 years and I help people struggling with their anxious and critical thoughts and depressed moods find new perspectives and hope. Working with me, you will gain a new understanding of yourself and your strengths. My sessions will empower you and challenge you comfortably and warmly. I will meet you where you are at and teach you coping skills and tools to find resilience within your authentic self. I use a variety of treatment modalities to help you accept the unique person that you are. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention. I take an eclectic approach to therapy because everyone is different and what may work for someone else may not work for you. Remember, you are the most important member of this treatment team! I look forward to meeting you and teaching you the coping skills and tools to finally be free of the struggles you face and find the light you were born to shine with. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect to be respected and not judged. I will create a safe space where you can feel comfortable to express your feelings openly and honestly. At the end of our intake session, we will discuss goals and plans for treatment. You can expect to take away new skills in mindfulness, regulation of emotions, and distress tolerance from our sessions. We will create a plan to focus on skills that are going to be the most useful and have the most positive impact on your life and treatment will be tailored to your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength as your therapist is making you feel validated and safe. I focus on your strengths and help you to be more compassionate with yourself to help alleviate the pain of negative thinking patterns. I help to find ways to transcend and overcome a spiral of self-talk that can be causing or exacerbating depression and anxiety symptoms. I am also very familiar with the impacts that adverse childhood experiences and trauma can have on our minds and can help you to gain insight and understanding on how these experiences shaped you and how to heal.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work best with clients with Generalized Anxiety, OCD, Mood Disorders, and relationship issues.
