About me

My pronouns are she/her. I’ve been a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community for as long as I can remember. I’m a veteran and honored to have served my country, despite its shortcomings. My journey to becoming a therapist has been a personal and liberating one. I’ve learned that no one is perfect, and we all will continue to be imperfect. However, if we’re given another day to breathe, we can challenge ourselves to be better for tomorrow. I invite you to review my profile to determine if we’d be a good fit for collaboration.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I can never predict how our first session will unfold. I genuinely hope that whatever we share during our time together will help you decide whether therapy is the path that will lead you to a healthier and happier version of yourself. Regardless of how long our relationship may last, my primary objective is to help you feel better mentally and physically. I want you to gain the confidence and skills to navigate life independently. My sole purpose in undertaking this work is to serve as a steadfast ally throughout your mental health healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My experiences as a multicultural, queer, preteen, teenager, adult, spouse, parent, and veteran have provided me with invaluable insights into the beauty and hardships of life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have worked with a diverse range of populations and genuinely enjoy working with all individuals. However, my expertise lies in providing therapy to individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community, active-duty military personnel and veterans, and those struggling with co-occurring disorders, PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief, relationship issues, life transitions, and trauma in various forms.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I employ Client-Centered and Solution-Focused therapy, which includes cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, and motivational interviewing. I apply active listening, patience, curiosity, reflection, summarization, and a nonjudgmental approach in every session. By modeling these skills, I aim to educate the importance of effective communication. Together, we’ll set simple and short-term goals that can address present and future crises. Our focus will be on developing new skills and routines, enhancing self-awareness, building confidence, managing stress in various forms, and cultivating other life-balancing characteristics crucial for personal growth.
