Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina, with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. I have four years of professional experience, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating the challenges of depression, anxiety, and significant life transitions. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and tailored to empower those feeling overwhelmed or defeated to regain a sense of balance and purpose in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first therapy session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where they can share their story and begin building a connection with me as their therapist. This initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what brought them to therapy. We will discuss their current challenges, goals, and what they hope to achieve through our work together. I’ll ask questions to better understand their background, strengths, and any significant life events or patterns that might be influencing their well-being. At the same time, clients are encouraged to ask questions about the therapy process, my approach, and how we will work collaboratively to meet their needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, my greatest strengths are my ability to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and supported. My empathy, adaptability, and dedication to empowering clients to reach their goals are central to my practice.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work with individuals who feel weighed down by the challenges of depression, anxiety, or significant life transitions. My ideal clients are those who may feel stuck or defeated but possess a spark of hope and a desire to find relief and rediscover joy. They are navigating pivotal moments in their lives—whether adjusting to a new phase, coping with unexpected changes, or striving to rebuild after setbacks. I thrive in supporting clients who are ready to take the first steps toward healing, even if they’re uncertain where to begin. They value a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where they can explore their emotions and experiences. My clients are open to learning new strategies for managing their thoughts and feelings and are motivated to create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a dedicated practitioner with over four years of experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I work to help clients manage and overcome recurring, intrusive thoughts. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals.Through structured CBT techniques, I empower clients to: identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping mechanisms and build resilience against triggers that perpetuate intrusive thinking. My sessions often involve collaborative exploration of thought patterns and the cultivation of mindfulness strategies. These tools equip clients to regain control of their thought processes and enhance their overall well-being.

Strength-Based

I integrate strength-based approaches to help clients feel empowered and take back control of their lives. I help clients identify and build upon their inherent strengths, skills, and resources. I work with clients to restore self-efficacy and confidence, highlight personal achievements and capabilities, and encourage clients to envision and work towards their ideal future.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy into my practice to support clients in creating meaningful and achievable goals. This approach emphasizes: guiding clients to envision their preferred future and identify actionable steps to achieve it, recognizing the tools and strategies clients already possess to overcome challenges, building on what works and amplifying existing solutions, rather than dwelling on problems, and facilitating rapid improvements by concentrating on practical, short-term strategies that lead to long-term benefits.
