Life, at times, can present us with extraordinary challenges and circumstances leaving us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, and even hopeless. Emotions from present or past experiences can become so burdensome that we develop unhealthy ways to cope. Symptoms may become so elevated that they affect our ability to function and interrupt family or social relationships. What I provide is an opportunity to process life's difficulties with someone who cares and has the clinical knowledge to assist you with gaining insight and understanding while developing new strategies and coping skills to manage your mental health day by day. I offer primarily CBT therapy with a person-centered trauma-informed focus.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will take the time to get to know each other and establish a comfortable environment for our work together. This initial appointment will focus on understanding your unique experiences, needs, and concerns. Through a thorough assessment process, I aim to gain insight into your goals and the challenges you’re facing. We will discuss your background, any specific issues you would like to address, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. Together, we will begin to outline a treatment plan that targets your most pressing concerns and sets the stage for meaningful progress. I prioritize creating a warm, empathetic atmosphere where you can feel safe to share openly. Your comfort is crucial, and I encourage honest feedback about our connection. If, at any point, you feel that we may not be the right fit, I welcome those conversations. My goal is to ensure you have a positive and productive therapeutic experience.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I believe that the foundation of effective therapy lies in a strong, trusting relationship between the client and the therapist. For clients to make meaningful progress, it's essential that they feel a sense of trust and confidence in the therapeutic process. My greatest strengths include my ability to cultivate a positive and supportive environment where clients can feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings. I strive to create a warm, empathetic atmosphere that fosters a genuine therapeutic connection. From our first session, I emphasize the importance of our relationship and invite open dialogue about how you feel regarding our connection. Your comfort and confidence in our work together are paramount. If at any point you feel that we may not be the right fit, I encourage you to share those feelings. I believe in prioritizing your therapeutic experience and would rather facilitate a positive outcome, even if that means recommending another professional.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work with clients from various backgrounds who are facing a myriad of challenges. What unites them is their readiness to engage in the journey of growth and change. My ideal clients are those who are open to exploring both their internal world and their external environments to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their histories, and the challenges they face. These clients are committed to putting in the necessary work to achieve the results they desire. They recognize that therapy is not a sprint but a journey, and they are willing to invest time both in our sessions and in their personal reflections and practices outside of therapy to reach their mental health goals. I particularly resonate with: Young Adults: Navigating life transitions, identity exploration, and the pressures of adulthood. Individuals Facing Anxiety and Stress: Seeking tools to manage overwhelming emotions and develop healthier coping strategies. Clients Experiencing Relationship Challenges: Those looking to improve communication, deepen connections, or navigate conflicts in personal or professional relationships. People in Search of Personal Development: Individuals wanting to enhance their self-awareness, set goals, and cultivate a more fulfilling life. In our sessions, I prioritize building a strong, trusting relationship. I believe that a positive therapeutic connection is essential for effective change. I strive to create a warm and empathetic atmosphere where you can feel safe to explore your concerns. If you’re ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing, I would be honored to support you in that process. Together, we can work towards identifying your goals and creating a personalized plan that targets your specific needs.
