LCSW, 4 years of experience
Hi there! I’m Savannah, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in North Carolina — and yes, I’ll likely have an iced coffee in hand during our sessions. I specialize in working with college students and adults in their 20s and 30s who are navigating anxiety, stress, or the lasting impact of trauma. This stage of life can be full of change and uncertainty — balancing independence, relationships, and identity can feel both exciting and overwhelming. My goal is to help you slow down, understand your emotions, and reconnect with who you are beneath the stress.
Your first appointment will be reviewing expectations, what is bringing you to therapy, history, and reviewing therapy goals/treatment plan. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them during this appointment! It is recommended to be connected to wifi on a laptop/tablet to ensure a strong network connection.
At Cozy Cardigan Therapy, my mission is to provide compassionate, individualized therapy in a safe and supportive environment where healing and personal growth can flourish. I specialize in working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life stressors, helping them build resilience, regain control, and move forward with confidence. I use Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), CBT, strength-based, and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients process what’s weighing them down and move toward healing. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth — therapy with me feels like a genuine conversation where we explore challenges, build coping tools, and create space for confidence and calm to grow.
At Cozy Cardigan Therapy, I specialize in helping women, college students, and adults in their 20s and 30s navigate these challenges with warmth, compassion, and support. In our safe and welcoming space, you’ll have the opportunity to explore your emotions, heal past wounds, and discover your inner strengths. Using evidence-based approaches like EMDR and a collaborative, empathetic style, we’ll work together to create meaningful change so you can move forward feeling more confident, grounded, and like yourself again
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help you heal from past trauma, anxiety, and stressful life experiences. EMDR helps your brain process and reframe painful memories so they no longer feel as overwhelming. Through guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR reduces emotional distress, eases triggers, and fosters a sense of relief and control. Whether you're struggling with trauma, persistent anxiety, or distressing life events, EMDR can help you move forward with greater peace and resilience. You deserve healing, and EMDR can be a powerful tool to get there.
Trauma can leave lasting emotional and physical effects, making it difficult to feel safe, trust others, or move forward. Therapy provides a supportive, compassionate space to process past experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, and regain a sense of control. Using approaches like EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness, therapy can help you reprocess painful memories, build healthy coping strategies, and strengthen your resilience. You are not defined by what happened to you—healing is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone.
Helps identify and reframe negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and manage anxiety, depression, and stress more effectively.
