I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, & anger management. I also have experience working with coping with life changes. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I believe that a change in perspective can change your life.
In our first session, I want to get to know you and hear about what bought you to therapy. We'll discuss those challenges and devise a plan to address them.
With years of experience with a variety of populations, I've learned that everyone wants and deserves to be heard. My goal will always be to meet you where you are, to listen and to support you in doing the work to help you feel better.
I enjoy working with adults who may be struggling with stress, relationship issues, and anger management.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a proven treatment modality. Often referred to as CBT, it focuses on the correlation between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. As the 3 are interdependent, when an individual continues to think a certain way, it will impact how he/she feels, and those feelings will then impact how he/she behaves. I use CBT to challenge your way of thinking in the hopes to ultimately change the behavior which initially brought to therapy.
Christian counseling takes a Christ-centered approach to therapy. Based upon the client's preference, I will incorporate biblically based principles into our sessions.
