About me
Do you feel overwhelmed with daily tasks? Have you experienced trauma? Are you a mom trying to meet everyone else's needs except your own? Hi, I'm Maria and I specialize in maternal mental health. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Board Certified Music Therapist and love being able to bring any creative arts into sessions. I can't wait to meet you on your journey towards healing!

In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey and my role is to provide a safe space for you, whether that is problem solving or a more in-depth look at what is going on. I believe in holistic treatment and individualized treatment.
The treatment methods and tools I utilize
I draw from a variety of techniques including CBT, DBT, and Adlerian. For trauma I have participated in a variety of trauma trainings including Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, Brainspotting, Polyvagul, and TF-CBT.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My biggest strength is exploring a topic from a variety of viewpoints to help clients gain insight and understanding. As a working mom, I understand the demands felt by mothers and love being able to help moms get their own needs met while still caring for the family and maintaining balance in their lives.

I specialize in maternal mental health including perinatal, postpartum, and parenting issues as well as trauma/PTSD.
