Having difficulty managing life stressors such as work, relationships, self-esteem, or just life in general? It would be more shocking if we were handling all the stressors and triggers of our current world without the need for the support of others. I find it a privilege to work with adolescents and adults during times in everyone's lives in we need a little more care and compassion. My approach to therapy is primarily humanistic, incorporating attachment theory, narrative therapy, solution-focused and family systems work in working through issues that ultimately lead will us toward growth and healthy transitions. I come from a person-centered approach, in which we collaborate to find the style and framework that feels most aligned to your goals and needs. I work to guide clients in understanding and validating their lived experiences, safely and without victimization. Through personalized insight and psychoeducation, we work together to develop tools focused on self-regulation, expressing feelings in healthy, nonjudgemental ways, and creating a feeling of security and trust in both your mind and body.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will begin by reviewing what to expect through the course of therapy, and my personal therapeutic style. We will spend the majority of the session exploring what brought you to therapy now, and end creating goals of focus for therapy moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having experience on both sides of therapy, I find my strengths lie in my understanding and compassion around the difficulty in seeking, sticking with, and diving deep in your own therapy. I support you best in setting healthy boundaries for, and with yourself, finding opportunities to engage in levity and connection, and ultimately in finding ways for you to find control back in your life, emotions and behaviors.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Throughout the course of my career I have been privileged to work with older teens and young adults, supporting them through the shifts and changes that come from entering into adulthood, and the many stressors this creates. Additionally, much of my private practice work has been with adults, creating space for them to understand themselves throughout parenthood, aging and the changing dynamics of our relationships as we grow older.
