Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey. In 2006, I received my masters in social work from Fordham University. I completed the hours for my LCSW at a nonprofit on Long Beach Island, and in a school based setting. I also worked as a case manager on a child study team for many years. Additionally, I spent over 20 years as a practicing attorney. I enjoy working with people to help them find solutions to the challenges that life presents and support them in their journey to the best versions of themselves.
The first session is an opportunity for clients to prioritize their expectations for counseling, including why now and what results or change they would like to see in their life.
I am empathic, an active listener, logical, supportive, and easy to connect with in session. As a single parent and a dual career individual, I understand the challenges life often offers and the opportunity those moments offer us for growth.
My clients are often motivated to address a challenge in their life and looking to overcome it or see some type of change.
CBT helps individuals identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors to improve emotional well-being and coping skills. It focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, aiming to develop healthier responses to challenging situations.
