Hi. I'm Corrie Brickey and I’m here to help you navigate difficult emotions and challenging life experiences. Whether you’re facing depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or at-risk behaviors, I believe healing is possible — and you don’t have to face it alone. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are dealing with emotional pain and engaging in behaviors that feel hard to control. Together, we’ll build tools to help you create a more balanced, peaceful life — one rooted in healthy relationships, emotional strength, and self-love. Having faced my own challenges, I deeply understand the strength it takes to begin healing. I bring compassion, honesty, and care to every session, and I’m here to walk beside you every step of the way.
I like to begin by talking about what your life could look like after treatment. I call it working on your 'life worth living.' Everyone has their own dreams and goals, and together, we’ll figure out a plan to help you get there. For some people, this might take a few months, and for others, it might take a bit longer—and that’s completely okay.
The relationship we build during our sessions is incredibly powerful and can be transformative. From both my experience as a therapist and as someone who has benefited from therapy, I know firsthand how impactful this connection can be. I believe that self-awareness and self-acceptance are key to living a fulfilling life. My goal is to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable and understood. Together, we’ll work on a treatment plan that feels right for you, focusing on the tools and strategies that will help you feel more confident and independent, with the eventual goal of being able to navigate life without ongoing therapy. I take a personalized approach, tailoring our sessions to meet your unique needs and goals. This includes developing coping skills, building resilience, and encouraging personal growth in a way that’s meaningful to you.
With over 12 years of experience in community mental health, residential, and crisis services, I understand the complexities of mental health struggles. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a crucial part of the healing process, and I deeply care for each of my clients. My goal is to create a supportive, compassionate environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make lasting positive changes in your life. I am a certified DBT clinician (C-DBT), which means I use evidence-based techniques to help clients develop emotional regulation, build coping strategies, and address underlying patterns that contribute to their struggles. If you're ready to start making changes and move toward a life of greater peace and self-acceptance, I would be honored to work with you.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of therapy that builds on the foundations of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but it’s more focused on helping you deal with difficult emotions, manage stress, and improve your relationships. I work with people who struggle with emotional ups and downs, teaching them skills to better cope with tough feelings, communicate more effectively with others, and stay present in the moment. By using DBT, you can learn to keep your emotions in check, strengthen your connections with others, and create a more meaningful life. I am a DBT Certified Therapist (C-DBT).
Over the years, through lots of practice and learning, I’ve really come to understand how powerful mindfulness can be in everyday life. I’d love to share some simple techniques with you that can help you stay in the moment, ease stress, and boost your overall sense of well-being
As a Social Worker, I believe it's really important to understand what you're great at. We all have areas we want to grow in, but by focusing on your strengths, we can work together to create a plan that builds on those strengths. This way, we can make real progress towards your treatment goals, at a pace that feels right for you.
