I thank you for the opportunity to collaborate with you in your healing journey. My desire is to help you through life’s struggle, and challenges. My goal is to provide authentic, compassionate, and nonjudgmental quality care. Building a therapeutic relationship is the first step in the treatment process. I offer person centered therapy specific to your individualized and unique experience, in order to assist you through the struggles of life. I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. I utilize a goal- oriented, strength-based approach with my clients. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a graduate of the University of Georgia and have been practicing for 5 years. Thank you for taking the first step and for allowing me to be part of this very important journey.
During our first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and develop treatment goals. I typically use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy to examine how your emotions are impacted by thoughts and experiences. I like to focus on your strengths and use solution-focused strategies to help you reach your goal
My greatest strength lies in creating a safe and supportive space for clients, characterized by empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach. This environment allows clients to feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly.
I take a collaborative, nonjudgemental approach to mental health therapy that can help you develop the communication and coping skills needed to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression and PTSD so you can recover and reach your full potential. Together we’ll work to resolve relationship conflicts, improve your self-esteem and manage unhealthy reactions or anger issues. I’ll teach you evidence-based techniques to deal with stress, sadness and fear, and help you not only control but understand your emotions
I have been utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my clinical practice for the past five years to support clients in addressing recurrent thought patterns and effectively managing anxiety. CBT provides a structured framework to identify and understand the interconnected relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through this approach, we will work together to recognize and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, replacing them with more adaptive and constructive perspectives. This process is designed to promote a significant reduction in anxiety and stress, fostering greater emotional well-being and resilience.
