I have worked in the behavioral health field for over 21 years starting in psychiatric rehabilition and social services. Afterward, I transitioned to program administration and clinical services. I have five years of direct clinical experience working with diverse populations. I am an eclectic therapist that practices using many counseling and psychology theories, including humanistic, behavioral, Gestalt, and other evidence-based approaches. Interventions are tailored to a person's needs and preferences.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am an eclectic approach therapist that provides a safe enviornment using humanistic concepts and also outcome-based interventions. I believe in helping people and promoting wellness through acceptance not just "treating symptoms."

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is an evidence-based approach that uses CBT and adds four additional skills (mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness) This is a module-based therapy, but can be used as a supportive therapy approach. It provides useful tools for emotional regulation.

Attachment-based

Attachment theory interventions and psychological education about attachment styles and creating secure attachments to promote healthy interpersonal interactions and relationships.

Eclectic

The use of more than one type of therapy interventions in a single session.
