What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

When a client comes to therapy with me for the first time, I will complete any initial paperwork that needs to be done and try to get to know them as much as possible. The focus of this appointment will be to figure out the needs of the client and set goals as well as complete any assessments that might need to be done. I know that therapy can be a scary process for a client so I try my best to make them feel comfortable and get to know what fears they might have about therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think some of my strengths are that I have empathy and tried to have understanding about each client that I work with. I approach the sessions with a non-judgmental attitude and ready to provide each client with confidentiality.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have a straightforward and to the point approach to therapy. I encompass evidence-based therapeutic techniques in my sessions and utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach when working with clients. I feel like people should have the most supportive resources to heal appropriately and become better people. I encourage people to find a therapist that they can be open with and address their therapeutic concerns. I realize that the therapist and client must work openly together to reach the client's therapeutic goals so I feel that people should find a therapist that they feel comfortable with. I also realize that I am not the therapist for everyone but willing to help anyone that is ready for change and to do the therapeutic work for change and to heal.
