Welcome! My name is Fatima Sakrani, and I am dedicated to supporting you through the ups and downs of life—whether you’re experiencing anxiety, navigating relationships, facing self-esteem issues, seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, or adapting to life’s changes. Are you feeling stressed, down, or uncertain? Are big changes or relationship struggles leaving you overwhelmed? Perhaps you want to better understand yourself or learn skills to ease painful thoughts and emotions. Or maybe you simply need a caring, compassionate person to listen, offer perspective, and hold space as you explore your life experience. Using a blend of evidence-based therapies, we’ll work together to deepen your self-understanding, clarify what’s important to you, and create practical strategies to help you live in alignment with your most authentic and peaceful self (hopefully sharing a few laughs along the way).

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, you can expect to share how you’ve been feeling and what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of your experiences and emotions. This initial meeting is focused on building our connection and assessing your needs so we can determine the best path forward. Since every individual is unique, I prioritize listening to your story before making any assumptions about the most effective approach for your journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I wholeheartedly believe that each person’s life and beliefs are their own. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to be a supportive and warm presence as you engage in deeper self-reflection and understanding. I’m honored to have helped many individuals navigate challenges, enhance joy, develop coping strategies for stress, and live in alignment with what is important to them. I admire the courage it takes to pursue growth and self-awareness, and I feel grateful to work with clients of diverse backgrounds who enrich my perspective every day.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have found that my style and approach resonate well with both teens and adults. Each stage of life comes with its own joys and challenges. Common areas of focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD, personal values exploration, life transitions (relationships, careers, middle to high school, or high school to college transitions), work-life balance, relationships (social, romantic, and family), stress management, and emotion regulation skills building.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

We use ACT to help you connect deeply with your values while navigating life’s inevitable challenges. Together, we’ll focus on building self-compassion and practicing acceptance of difficult emotions, so you can make choices aligned with what matters most to you. This evidence-based approach has supported many clients in creating a life that feels both meaningful and authentic to each unique individual.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is especially useful for managing intense emotions and building resilience. Together, we’ll explore practical skills for coping with challenging situations, staying grounded, and building fulfilling relationships. This evidence based approach has helped many clients develop a sense of balance and control in their daily lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We'll use CBT to help clients explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we’ll work to identify patterns that may be impacting your well-being, then develop strategies to shift those patterns. This evidence-based method has been effective in helping many people manage anxiety and gain tools to use in every day life.
