Welcome! I’m Michelle. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 8 years of experience working in the community mental health field. I received my MSW from Boston University in 2017. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating life transitions, relationship problems, and mood disorders. As a second generation Asian American, I also have a special interest in working with children of immigrants and individuals navigating their cultural identity.
In the first session, I will spend some time reviewing office policy and procedures. We will also discuss your reasons for coming to therapy as well as any concerns or questions that you may have.
I tailor my therapeutic approach to each individual I work with. I will meet you where you are in your healing journal and guide you to where you want to be.
I enjoy working with adults from diverse backgrounds who want to address issues related to depression, anxiety, life transitions, and cultural identity.
Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) is an effective treatment approach for a range of mental and emotional health issues, including anxiety and depression. CBT aims to help you identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and to learn practical self-help strategies.
