Hello, I’m Angela, and I’m here to help you embrace new beginnings and navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity. As a therapist specializing in women’s issues, I provide compassionate support to empower you personally and professionally, helping you set meaningful goals and achieve lasting change. We’ll create a roadmap to help you treat yourself compassionately, clarify your needs, and step into this new year with purpose and balance. Take the first step toward creating the life you deserve. Let’s make this year a time of growth, healing, and transformation. Feel free to schedule a session or a free consultation or contact me here with any questions: angela@creativecompassionatecounseling.com
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and set the foundation for our work together. I'll ask questions to learn more about your history and the specific goals you hope to achieve. This will allow us to tailor our work to your unique needs and aspirations, creating a clear path forward for our therapeutic journey. Making the Most of Our Sessions Taking the step to seek support is an empowering act of self-care. It demonstrates your commitment to your own growth and well-being. Throughout our sessions, you’ll find a compassionate ally who is dedicated to helping you thrive both personally and professionally. Together, we will explore the challenges you're facing, uncover insights, and build strategies to support your goals. I encourage you to take notes during our sessions. These notes can serve as valuable reminders of the breakthroughs, reflections, and insights we uncover together, helping to solidify those moments of clarity and self-discovery. The Importance of Work Between Sessions While our time together in session is valuable, personal growth often happens outside of our meetings. Just as learning a new skill requires practice, so does the work we do in therapy. I may suggest exercises, reflections, or other resources to help you process and apply what we've discussed in your everyday life. These “between-session” activities are an essential part of the therapeutic process and allow you to integrate your insights into real-world situations. That said, I always meet you where you are, working at a pace and level of comfort that feels right for you. Our work together will be tailored to your individual needs and preferences, and we will adjust as necessary to ensure it’s both manageable and meaningful. If you ever have any questions or concerns about the work outside of our sessions, or about anything we’re discussing, please feel free to bring them up. Your feedback is always welcome and important to me as we collaborate on your journey.
As a trauma-informed, strengths-based therapist, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space through active listening, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. In this supportive environment, you’re encouraged to explore your thoughts and emotions with an ally by your side. I welcome all individuals who identify as she/her from all backgrounds, orientations, religions, and cultures. My practice is a space where everyone is respected and valued. I recognize that gender identity is diverse, and not everyone identifies as a woman. While my practice primarily focuses on supporting individuals who resonate with experiences traditionally associated with women, I strive to use respectful and inclusive language. For simplicity, I may refer to "women" in this document and others. However, please share how you identify so we can ensure our work together honors your unique identity and experiences. Important Information - a few things to know before scheduling with me: *Specialization: I focus on women’s issues and do not work with individuals under 18, he/him pronouns, couples, or families. *Residency: I am only licensed to work with clients who reside in Pennsylvania. If you work outside PA, you must physically be in PA during our session. *Late Cancellations/No-Shows: You can cancel or reschedule through the portal 24 hours before your session. If you fail to cancel, reschedule, or do not attend a $75 fee will be automatically charged to your card on file. SERVICES I DO NOT PROVIDE * Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Letters: I recommend contacting a therapist specializing in ESA letters or an online ESA provider. * Assessments for disabilities, including but not limited to physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities, severe psychiatric disorders, or substance use disorders. I recommend contacting a psychologist, a vocational rehabilitation office, or a primary care physician. * Child Custody, Reunification, or Legal Advice: I recommend contacting a forensic psychologist, reunification specialist, or the Women's Law Project. * Eating Disorder Treatment: I recommend contacting an outpatient treatment center or therapist with this specialty. I share this because I believe in providing the most effective and focused care. If any of the above points are part of your needs, I want to ensure you find the right support.

CBT focuses on helping you think and act in healthier ways to create a more balanced and fulfilling life. Together, we will identify and explore alternatives to unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. By developing practical strategies to challenge and replace negative thoughts, you'll strengthen your well-being and enhance your coping skills.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic approach designed to help you process and heal from distressing experiences. In our sessions, we will work to identify and reframe the impact of past events that may still affect you. Through targeted techniques, such as bilateral stimulation, EMDR facilitates the brain’s natural healing process, helping you reduce emotional distress, shift negative beliefs, and build resilience for a healthier, more balanced life.
Integrative psychotherapy focuses on treating you as a whole person, recognizing that mental health is deeply connected to various aspects of your life. Proper nutrition, quality sleep, regular physical activity, and nurturing your soul are crucial for maintaining mental health. Emotional and social connections also play a significant role in how you feel. By addressing these areas, we can create a personalized plan to enhance your overall mental health. This wholistic approach aims to support you in achieving a more balanced and fulfilling life.
