Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Georgia. I received my Masters from Georgia State University and have been practicing for 5 years. I engage in talk therapy with individuals who are struggling with a variety of common life challenges. My goal is to meet clients where they are at, and collaboratively get them where they want to be.
I give clients an introduction of how I typically work, and I explore what they most need help with.
I have found that I like to "peel the onion" to undertand the root of the problem, and from there, develop a plan that can be collaboratively reviewed and updated, according to clients' current needs.
I love working with clients who are proactive, and engaged in their own treatment.

Eclectic
I have found that integrating a variety of therapy approaches and modalities can conveniently serve both therapist and client, as it accomodates different needs, and therapeutic process' stages. An example of this treatment method could be using the non-directive person-centered therapy approach, but also allowing more directive interventions (as seen in cognitive behavioral therapy techniques), when appropriate.
Humanistic
I believe every individual has the ability to make choices based on their own unique needs. I like to focus on client's strenghts to promote their self-reliance. Modalities of the humanistic treatment method include human-centered/Rogerian therapy, and Gestalt.
Narrative
I have found this method can be very empowering to some individuals as it allows the opportunity for reframing one's story. From a non-pathologizing framework, individuals are encouraged to retell their experience through a variety of self-expressive means.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
This therapy approach can be useful when individuals find themselves "stuck" due to circumstances out of their control. It provides tools and techniques to develop psychological flexibility, it helps individuals reconnect with their core values, and make choices that permits them to live in accordance to their values.

She was very warm & comforting. She sat back & just really listened to my thoughts & concerns. Didn't make me feel insecure about anything I asked her. I'm actually excited for my next appointment!
