My name is Natalie Baker and I use she/they pronouns. I am a licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health in the state of New Jersey. I have over 18 years of experience in mental health. Welcome! I am so glad you are here. Life is a journey made up of many steps. I am glad you are moving forward to improve your wellness. I am excited to help you. Together, we will build a collaborative and trusting relationship. We will create a place where you can truly be seen and all of you can be acknowledged. I look forward to helping you move towards healing

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session you set goals, which will bring clarity to our work together and help us see when progress is being made. We will create a place where you can safely learn about yourself. This process is led by you and your needs. We all have inherent value, and I will teach you how to look at yourself with curiosity and self-compassion.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

What makes me unique as a therapist is my lived experience. I am neurodivergent, an immigrant, fat, disabled, and queer. I use a neurodivergent-affirming, gender-affirming, non-pathologizing therapy lens within a racial justice framework. I am curious, open, and non-judgmental. Imagine a world where you are calm, warm and open hearted. You have the ability to heal yourself, and I will give you the tools

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

If you always felt different then let's create a space where you feel safe and seen. I specialize in working with queer and neurodivergent folks with a history of trauma.
