LMFT, 8 years of experience
My name is Ana Del Rosario Murray. I am a Latina Indigenous woman, mother, and wife proudly rooted in the vibrant SF Bay Area. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco and have spent the past seven years working throughout San Francisco in service of community wellness. With a deep passion for community-based work, I bring an intimate understanding of the complexities faced by diverse populations. Growing up in the tightly knit community of South San Francisco, I witnessed firsthand the socioeconomic, cultural, and systemic challenges that shape people’s lives. This lived experience fuels my unwavering commitment to making a meaningful impact and uplifting those around me. I believe deeply in the power of collective action and healing. By embracing my cultural heritage and drawing from personal and professional experience, I strive to foster authentic connections, empower individuals and families, and promote social justice within the communities I serve.
In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and talk through what’s bringing you in. From there, we’ll begin shaping a personalized plan together—one that reflects your goals, strengths, and what feels most supportive for you moving forward. This will guide our work together moving forward, at a pace that feels right for you.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the deep commitment to meeting each client where they are—with compassion, cultural humility, and a collaborative spirit. Over the past several years, I’ve worked closely with youth and young adults navigating a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. I focus on helping clients uncover the root causes of their distress and co-create treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, identities, and goals. This personalized and strengths-based approach has led to meaningful progress and positive outcomes, allowing clients to feel more empowered and supported in their healing journey.
I’m passionate about supporting youth, adults and families as they navigate challenges such as trauma, anxiety and a range of other mental health conditions. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are motivated to heal but may feel stuck or unsure of how to move forward. Many of my clients come in feeling overwhelmed and anxious, and together we work to build the tools and insight they need to reconnect with their goals and begin a meaningful path toward healing and growth.
I am a compassionate therapist with several years of experience supporting individuals impacted by trauma across diverse communities. My work has included extensive engagement with immigrant families, newcomer youth and unaccompanied minors, at-risk adolescents, justice-involved populations, and trauma survivors. I am deeply committed to providing culturally sensitive care, which has helped me build meaningful, trusting relationships with clients from all backgrounds. Grounded in a trauma-informed approach, I strive to empower individuals as they navigate complex experiences—fostering healing, resilience, and personal growth. My clinical practice integrates evidence-based interventions with a deep respect for cultural identity and lived experience, creating a safe and inclusive space where clients can explore emotions, rebuild trust, and reclaim their voice. Through empathy and collaboration, I support clients in overcoming adversity and moving toward a more grounded and hopeful future.
I received formal training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) through the University of San Francisco’s CBT-oriented program, which laid a strong foundation for my clinical approach. Over the past several years, I’ve applied these evidence-based techniques across diverse community settings, supporting individuals impacted by trauma, anxiety, depression, and other diagnoses. My work integrates CBT principles with culturally responsive care, helping clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, build coping strategies, and foster long-term emotional resilience.
