I am a Latina therapist from New York and founder of Capaz Counseling. I named my practice after the word "capaz" which means capable and inspires my practice’s mission to build on the fact that we are all capable of deepening mind and body experiences for catharsis, balance, and progress among the varying parts of ourselves. I help folx understand their patterns and find ways to modify or strengthen them for a more embodied life.
A first session with me is seen as the beginning of being curious of your story with a specific intention to identify goals to honor your reason for beginning (or return) to therapy.
My greatest strengths are helping folx find strength in affirming their experiences, gain a broader understanding of themselves, and hold themselves accountable on their progress.
I specialize in working with BIPOC folx, particularly professionals, those in leadership, or in transition. I also specialize in working with parents in navigating their parenting journey. Ultimately, I work best with anyone who is curious and engaged on how to deepen their understanding of themselves.
I help folx understand/modify/strengthen patterns formed from their experiences and how that shows up in their present on an interpersonal and intrapersonal level.
I work with folx in exploring how their familial, romantic, peer, and work relationships impact their patterns and experiences.
