Hello and welcome! :) My name is Jasmine and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, bringing 15 years of experience in the field of mental and behavioral health. In addition to my home state of Pennsylvania, I also serve residents of Louisiana, Oregon, Virginia, and West Virginia. Over the years, I’ve dedicated my career to understanding and addressing the complex spectrum of mental health issues that impact individuals every day. A very common misconception is that depression always shows obvious signs. However, high-functioning depression can easily go unnoticed. Similarly, anxiety can often appear without a clear trigger, leading to feelings of despair. Prolonged grief may cause stagnation, reducing one's quality of life, while trauma responses can create emotional distress and unexpectedly affect relationships. Ultimately, not addressing mental health challenges can leave anyone feeling stuck, and that's a terrible feeling. From our very first session, you'll notice that I emphasize planning for discharge, and this includes discussing what progress means for you. I'm eager to hear all about this. We will also discuss the best way to monitor your progress. Everyone's path and goals are unique, so what progress looks like for one person might be completely different for someone else. This is all part of the treatment planning process. Also, please know that there's no pressure to dive into the deep stuff immediately. But if you're ready to jump in right away, I'm here for it whenever you are. My goal is to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible, and I want you to get the most out of our time together, always.

I also recognize that I may not entirely grasp my client's personal experiences, however I excel at offering a professional yet personable perspective, maintaining an open mind, and always remembering that my clients are the true experts on their own lives. With extensive and ongoing training and certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, somatic therapy, and trauma, I typically work with those who are managing challenges related to focus and attention, emotional regulation difficulties, low mood, loss, past distressing experiences, and difficulties in personal relationships, including intimate partner violence. I am best positioned to serve clients who are motivated for treatment and okay with being held accountable.
I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This treatment modality is proven to be effective with those experiencing challenges with depression, anxiety/panic disorders, mood disorders, phobias, anger issues, and relationship issues. CBT helps with compartmentalizing one's current thought, identifying how their current thought process is negatively impacting their psychological wellbeing and identifying effective ways to change the distorted thought and behavioral patterns.
