Hi my name is Marchella Carter a licensed mental health counselor in Florida with over 10 yrs of experience in the behavioral health field. I have experience treating co-occuring disorders, mood disorders, anger, anxiety, panic, adjustment disorder, unresolved family issues and trauma. He is influenced by DBT, CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Motivational interviewing, Solution Focused, Reality therapy, Internal Family Systems, and, Truama Informed approaches. His style is directive, nonjudgemental, down to earth, and engaged including a review of practical and effective coping tools

My strength and specialties are working with those who strive for change, and who struggle with: social anxiety, boundary setting, co-dependency, people pleasing, over-giving, assertiveness, relationship functioning, communication issues, self esteem issues, conflict management, unstable moods and stress management.

He’s been very helpful on getting me to see things in a way that I haven’t been able to see myself and I’ve been really appreciative of that. He gives good tips and insight on problems I’ve been dealing with and definitely the first therapist I’ve been able to really feel comfortable being honest with.
