Hello, my name is Siarra Maketo. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Therapist ,and I provide a wide range of services to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. During the last several years, I have worked extensively with many families, adolescents, and couples to assist in their healing process using multiple evidence based therapeutic modalities. Life circumstances can have lasting impacts on everyone. During the coaching and /or therapeutic process, I look at how our environment, life experience, and current relationships have an impact on the coping mechanisms we utilize and the decisions we make. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then discuss the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan and sort out goals for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Having worked with adults, couples, and families the past several years, I've developed methods to identify the root cause of your challenges and together with the client help create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

I love working with adults , couples, and families who are in need better methods to improve communication and/or emotional regulation. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to start. They often feel frustrated, overwhelmed, sad ,and anxious about their current problems and need help putting things together.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past several years. It has helped many clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
