I am an experience therapist who can support you in making positive changes in your life. My areas of specialty include personality and mood disorders, addiction, and grief, but I have work with clients on a wide range of issues over the years. I help my clients through a combination of education on how the human mind works, and increasing awareness of how those principals are playing out in your daily life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session I will take us through an informal interview to get an overview of you history, and the issues you are dealing with that bring you into therapy. I want to learn about where you have been, and where you would like my help to go.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist my practice in informed by a wide breadth of personal experiences, a deep level of education, research, and study into the field of counseling, and experience in all levels of mental health care. Over my career I have worked with people from a wide variety of backgrounds on a wide variety of issues.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I offer a tremendous amount of experience to those seeking to overcome addiction, grief, or issues with anxiety and anger. Most of my client are recovering from a degree of trauma as well, and my practice is highly trauma informed.

My treatment methods

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

In therapy I start by helping client increase their awareness of the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. From there I will help you identify underlying beliefs that impact emotional well being, and maximize the impact of helpful belief, while reducing the reliance on unhelpful or untrue beliefs.
