About me

Hello, I am a licensed clinical social worker in Florida. I have been licensed since 2016. I graduated with my master's from Florida Atlantic University in 2012. I have worked with a wide range of clients from a variety of backgrounds. I have training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play therapy, Sand Tray, Brazelton Touchpoints, Perinatal Mental Health, and Art Therapy modalities and techniques. Some of the main concerns that my clients have had include depression, past traumas (including physical and emotional abuse), relationship difficulties with their partner, grief, anxiety, maternal mental health issues, medical trauma, parenting stressors, and help with managing life changes and stressors. I enjoy joining clients on their journey and helping them work towards getting to where they want to be. I know it can be hard to take that first step to reach out for help. I would be honored to be a part of helping you on your mental health journey!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session we will complete a biopsychosocial assessment and a treatment plan. This means that I will ask you several questions to get to know more about you and the history of the symptoms you are experiencing then create some goals for what you would like to work on during our time together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I like to believe that some of my biggest strengths as a clinician are meeting clients where they are at, validating their experiences, and empowering clients to reach their goals.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use this modality to help people with processing previous traumas that have occurred. This modality can be very useful when someone is experiencing nightmares, flashbacks, or panic attacks that stem from trauma.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My beginning training was in client-centered play therapy, where the main focus in on reflecting and acknowledging the client's feelings. I believe that you are the expert in your life, and you know what the best path for your future is. I think that part of my job is to help support you in focusing in on what that inner voice might be saying and quieting the other noises.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. After that cognitive connections and patterns are able to be identified then I work with client's on replacing negative thoughts with more positive, healthy, ones.
