Hi! I am a psychotherapist (LCSW) with 11 years of practice in the clinical field and over 30 years of experience in the Christian approach. I graduated from the University of Hawaii but serve both Hawaii and Tennessee. I do my best work with clients who are seeking an amalgamation of the clinical and Christian approaches specifically in couples work and infidelity recovery.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, a fun ice-breaker, a biopsychosocial assessment and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Through the years, my clients say they appreciate my warmth, insights but also my ability to speak the truth in love. I think that my ability build rapport and blend therapy with theology helps those seeking this approach the most.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am excited to see couples whose marriages are on the rocks begin to "believe" again and the insights we discover together bring about transformation that changes the trajectory of their relationship. This is what I live for. This makes my days. I also enjoy working with people struggling with mood disorders.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

In my Psychotherapy practice, I bring together solid clinical tools and timeless Biblical truth – a blend of theology and therapy. I have specialized mostly on couples work but have also incorporated this approach with individuals and received many testimonials and breakthroughs. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to be “super spiritual.” You just have to show up — and I’ll meet you right where you are.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, goal-focused approach that helps you understand the link between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In therapy, we work together to spot unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge them with truth, and replace them with healthier ways of thinking and living. It’s like rewiring your inner dialogue — so your mind can work for you, not against you.

Couples Counseling

Every relationship hits rough patches — it’s not about being perfect, it’s about being willing. In couples counseling, I help you and your partner slow down, tune into each other, and learn how to communicate in ways that heal instead of hurt. Whether you're facing constant conflict, emotional distance, trust issues, or just feel “off,” this space is here to help you reconnect and rebuild. What we’ll do together: • Unpack patterns that keep you stuck • Learn how to fight fair and listen better • Work on trust, intimacy, and teamwork • Build a stronger foundation, rooted in grace, truth, and growth This isn’t about blame — it’s about clarity, compassion, and change. I’m here to help you both feel seen, heard, and supported as you navigate the journey together. Let’s turn disconnection into deeper connection — one step at a time.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a respectful, collaborative approach that helps you explore why you want to make a change — and what's getting in the way. It’s not about me telling you what to do. It’s about you discovering your own motivation in a space that’s safe, supportive, and free of pressure. In MI, we: • Get curious about your goals and values • Uncover ambivalence (that “part of me wants to, but…” feeling) • Strengthen your own reasons for change • Move at a pace that honors your readiness You already have wisdom inside you — MI just helps you hear it more clearly.
