About me

Hi there! My name is Allison, I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania. I have spent most of my clinical experience working in community mental health! I have been practicing for 4 years and have recently received my license. I help children and adults struggling with anxiety, depression and trauma related stressors. Work, school, and social settings are areas of greatest strength for me.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is go at your pace! We all know how awkward it can be to meet a total stranger and be asked a lot of questions, so we will do what's comfortable for you!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a provider, I believe my greatest strengths are challenging negative internal monologues.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with families and adolescents! I love providing people with tools to challenge their internal states to reach your goals!

My treatment methods

Family Therapy

I am trained in eco-systemic family therapy and have worked as a family-based therapist for 4 years. I think the eco-system model works very well in finding the root of the problem rather than focusing solely on the behaviors.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using CBT is a great way to identify and address a problem that allows for client's to understand and decipher a problem in their own way while addressing and challenging nergative thoughts.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFT allows for client's to focus on present and future experiences rather than perseverating on past experiences. This is a great tool to use to set goals and stick to them.

Motivational Interviewing

Sometimes we understand there is a problem but feel very stuck on how to address or find the root of the problem. Motivational Interviewing is a great tool to use to help client's get to that readiness for change to make positive changes in their lives.
