I take a holistic approach to therapy by using systems theory, which means I look at all areas of your life to understand how they may be influencing your struggles. I also adopt a strengths-based perspective, focusing on what you do well and empowering you to build on those strengths. Together, we’ll work to move past anxiety, burnout, or the effects of narcissistic or toxic abuse, helping you thrive by leveraging your own capabilities and resilience.
I specialize in helping people struggling with anxiety and anxiety-based disorders by teaching practical skills to manage and reduce symptoms. Many of my clients are busy professional women who feel overwhelmed by life’s demands and are looking for ways to reduce stress and regain control over their anxiety. I also support individuals recovering from narcissistic abuse/toxic people, guiding them to rebuild trust in themselves, rediscover joy, and move forward after toxic relationships. Whether dealing with a narcissistic partner, parent, or boss, I help you heal and regain confidence in your choices. As a busy professional myself and someone who left a 16-year marriage to a narcissist, I understand the challenges you face and am here to help you not just survive, but truly thrive. Let’s work together to find your peace and strength—schedule a session today!
Thinking errors are part of most mental health disorders, especially anxiety and can worsen mental health symptoms. I work with my clients to help them learn how to recognize and change those thinking errors to help reduce their symptoms. What we repeatedly think, we begin to believe and then act according to that belief... changing the thoughts, can change the beliefs, and that can dramatically improve/decrease mental health disorders.
DBT skills are often vital in learning how to tolerate distressing thoughts, feelings, and situations. I often incorporate elements of DBT into sessions when needed to help my better manage their mental health.
I know life can be very challenging at times and knowing you are not alone and someone is in your corner is important part of the healing process. So often people come to therapy and are experiencing harsh/judgemental thoughts about themselves that contribute to anxiety, depression, etc. I will create a safe, compassionate space for you to express yourself as well as teach you the skills to be more compassionate towards yourself.
