My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is used to learn to accept life's ups and downs while still pursuing a life of meaningful, fulfillment, and well-being. Our thoughts, emotions, and experiences are inevitable and out of our control, but we can choose our reactions to them and the behaviors we engage in.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) we can really identify the thought and behavior patterns that aren't working for you and use evidence based interventions to shift them, leading to more positive emotions, adaptive behaviors, and healthier thought patterns.

Compassion Focused

Increase compassion and self-compassion is an essential part of any therapy journey so we can decrease and even eliminate feelings of self-criticism, self-doubt, and shame.

EMDR

EMDR is such a powerful tool that taps into your brain's natural healing process to successfully treat a variety of issues that were created when our brain was unable to successfully process the experience in the past. Memories, thought patterns, perspectives, emotions tend to change in a way that decreases the painful intensity or the emotional charge in which you experience them. They become more neutral, adaptive thoughts are gained, and these things no longer have control over you or your life.

Positive Psychology

Positive psychology focuses on factors that contribute to a person's well-being. Instead of focusing on the problems, we focus on strengths, resilience, positive emotions, meaning, healthy relationships, and optimal functioning. This can take you from surviving to flourishing.
