About me

You know we all deal with our issues and sometimes we cannot do it alone. It is hard to talk to a stranger but give it a try. You won't be judged but welcomed and listened to. I am here to work together with you. I am a licensed psychologist and love working with diverse clients from diverse backgrounds who are dealing with the issues like anxiety, depression, identity, relationship, and life change difficulties. As a Korean immigrant myself, I particularly have great knowledge and experience working with Asian/ Asian Americans, People of Color and immigrants. I have a Master's degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology.

Dr. has been helpful & consistent with helping us find resolutions for our issues and concerns. We’ve been regularly having video therapy with him for most of 2025 and we definitely see a change in our dynamics.

After years of searching and meeting with countless therapists, Dr. Hwang is the first one I’ve truly felt safe with. He doesn’t just listen—he understands. His deep empathy, especially for my traumatic past, has made a profound difference in my healing. He remembers the details, the pain, the moments that shaped me—without me ever having to repeat myself. That kind of presence, compassion, and genuine care is incredibly rare. With Dr. Hwang, I finally feel seen, heard, and supported.
