Hey there, I’m Beth Paronich. Do you find yourself taking care of everyone else, but have a hard time being kind to yourself? Are you high-functioning at work and wish you could apply those same skills to your relationship issues or struggles with recent life changes? Do you wish you could find that same level of motivation and confidence you experience professionally when it comes to making changes in your personal life? Together, you and I will figure out what you’re willing to change to find peace and balance. We’ll collaborate to build solutions for issues occurring in the here and now and discover the strengths you have to move forward. It takes courage to seek out your desired future and to take the first concrete steps toward realizing your goals. If you are ready, I am here to help you discover your strengths and resources for that journey!
Our first meeting is a two way conversation - a chance for us to get to know one another and ask each other some questions. We’ll focus on your background and the concerns that brought you to therapy. By our second session, we’ll develop three broad goals to work towards and begin to visualize specifically how your life will be different when things are better. Establishing goals early in our work together will allow us to measure progress, stay on track, and realize when our journey together has ended.
I love practicing my unique blended model of therapy because this approach focuses on formulating, motivating, achieving and sustaining actual behavioral change. Differing from many other therapeutic perspectives, in this model the therapist does not remain neutral. Rather, I’ll share opinions and options for change, so that together we can determine the best steps for you to take to reach your goals. I tailor my process to each person’s unique history and experiences. I focus on evidence-based approaches that are hope-friendly, future-focused and action-oriented.
I love working with professionals who are motivated to develop higher levels of self-esteem and confidence, and can envision how great their lives will be once they take on the challenge of their stress and anxiety,
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is particularly useful for anxiety and depression -it focuses on the here and now to help change less helpful thoughts and behaviors in the moment.
Solution Focused Therapy is an empowering treatment model that helps identify times when the challenges was less severe or did not occur and builds on that success.
