LPC, 8 years of experience
Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Maryland, with over 8 years of experience helping individuals work through life’s emotional challenges. My goal is to support you in becoming the best version of yourself. In our work together, I focus on empowering you with practical coping skills, building self-awareness, and strengthening communication techniques—so that the progress you make in therapy feels lasting and sustainable.
In our first session together, you will have a space to share the concerns that brought you to treatment. I will also ask questions that will help me gain an understanding of the present concerns, and learn some of your history that will assist me with creating a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
As a provider who has worked with clients from various backgrounds and ages, I believe I bring an understanding and non-judgemental compassion to treatment that allows clients a safe space to unpack their concerns and learn strategies to help navigate their way through challenges in their life.
My ideal clients are individuals who are motivated to grow but may not yet have the tools or confidence to make lasting changes. I especially enjoy working with individuals navigating the pressures of adulthood; including life transitions, changing roles, navigating interpersonal relationships, and managing the shifting emotions that come with increased responsibilities. I also support those facing challenges such as anxiety, imposter syndrome, career stress, relationship difficulties, and important life decisions. Together, in treatment, we focus on building self-confidence, resilience, and strategies to move forward with clarity and balance. I’ve found my approach works best with clients who are ready to actively engage in their growth. This means bringing insight into their experiences, practicing techniques between sessions, and being open to meaningful reflection. Clients who are motivated to apply what they learn in therapy often see the strongest and most lasting results. If your needs fall outside of my scope, I’ll gladly help connect you with resources that may be a better fit.
In treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy helps the client recognize automatic negative thoughts, explores common cognitive distortions, like catastrophizing or black-and-white thinking, and the client learns to question the accuracy of their thoughts and replace them with more balanced, realistic ones. In treatment, I also introduce behavioral strategies to change unhelpful habit. Clients learn stress management, relaxation techniques, problem-solving skills, and emotional regulation.
In treatment, I work with clients to identify key issues, and establish goals such as reducing impulsive behaviors, improving distress tolerance, or enhancing interpersonal effectiveness. Sessions focus on problem-solving, emotional processing, and reinforcing skill use.
